Nordic Guidelines

In October 2020, Finland became the first Nordic country to establish intimacy guidelines for the film & TV industries, published by the Finnish Film Foundation. In March 2022, Sweden followed suit as the second Nordic country, with guidelines published jointly by The Swedish Film & TV Producers Association, The Swedish Union for Performing Arts and Film, and SF Studios. These guidelines aim to standardize working with intimate scenes, raise awareness, increase competence, and support filming in a professional, risk-free, and respectful manner. Both Finnish and Swedish guidelines recommend the use of qualified intimacy coordinators in intimate scenes. Click below to access printable guidelines in your preferred language.
